Join us for our second annual Mountain View Race Series sponsored by MAP Pharmaceuticals. Shoreline Park is a flat, easy out and back course with both 5K and 10K distances USTA certified.
Walkers, runners, bike riders, et al., can enjoy miles of paved and unpaved trails, some of which are part of the San Francisco Bay Trail. The trails connect to the Stevens Creek Trail at the eastern edge of the park and the Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve on the western edge.
Through the developed park, one reaches a wildlife refuge at the edge of the bay, where many birds can be seen at almost any time.
Consider taking part in some of the activities available at Shoreline Park after the race to relax with family and friends.
Shoreline Park features an 18-hole links-style golf course with pro shop and driving range, Shoreline Golf Links, and a 50-acre (200,000 m2) artificial lake. On the lake’s eastern shore is the Shoreline Aquatic Center, which offers sailboat, windsurfing, kayak, canoe, rowboat, and pedal boat rentals, as well as sailing, windsurfing, and kayaking classes. The adjacent Shoreline Cafe is open daily and offers a variety of food to lake goers. Shoreline Amphitheatre is next to the golf course. The Rengstorff House, a historic Victorian mansion moved to the park from its original location elsewhere in Mountain View, and Michaels at Shoreline Restaurant are also in the built-up area of the park.
Directions: The actual location is not associated with an address however this screen shot will give you a sense of the directions noted below. Take N. Shoreline Blvd off the 101 until you reach the Park entrance and guard gate. The Dog Park is right before you enter into the park. Once you pass the gate you will take an immediate right into a large parking lot. The race start and finish is in the same parking lot area where you will park. It is also right by the Kite Flying Lot however our volunteers and participants need to park in our assigned area and not the Kite Lot.
Packet Pickup: All participants will pickup their race bib and timing chip on race day morning. Please visit the Pre-Registered tent which opens at 7:30 am. T-shirts will be provided at the end of the race.
Volunteers Needed: Please sign up online to help out on race day. Consider bringing a family member or friend. There is a volunteer orientation that all volunteers must attend Saturday May 11th 1-2 pm at Sports Basement in Sunnyvale (1177 Kern Avenue) or via conference call on Monday May 13th from 4-5 pm.
Free iPhone 5 Case: All participants will receive an iPhone 5 case courtesy of Speck Products.
Parking: Oodles of free parking available right at the event site.

Your Safety is Our Priority: Miles for Migraine is working with the non-profit, Racing Hearts, to bring an AED device to sites of greatest risk of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) such as local schools, school gymnasiums, public recreational facilities and amateur athletics. $1 from each registration will be provided to Racing Hearts to have an AED onsite for our race.
